Creating New Tags

Overview

Any user in the project can create tags. There are two ways that a tag can be created:

  • Creating a new tag while adding to an object

  • Creating a new tag from the Tag Manager page

Create New Tags

To create a new tag

  1. Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.

  2. Go to Project Settings > Tags

  3. Click on the Add custom tag field

  4. Enter the tag name

  5. Click Add

Create / Add Tags to Objects

To create a new tag and add to an object

  1. Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.

  2. Open a detail panel for a file, folder, View, Topic or ToDo.

  3. Click the Edit button in the top right of the panel.
    The panel will change to     Edit Mode.

  4. Click on the tag field and enter the tag name.

  5. If no tag with the same name exists, hit ENTER to create a new tag.

  6. Click the Save button.
