Naming Conventions

All objects (files, folders, projects, ToDos etc) stored in Trimble Connect use the concept of directories to access data stored on a disk, device or server.

Due to certain operating system (OS) file name restrictions, do not use the following characters in names:

< (less than)
› (greater than)
: (colon)
" (citation mark)
/ (forward slash)
\ (backslash)
| (vertical bar or pipe)
? (question mark)
CHAR. (Characters followed by dot)
* (asterisk)
.. (double dot)
